The Crescents Pilots are very active and generous in the five parishes in which they live and work. In addition to their individual involvement and giving to the community, they also contribute through the larger organization, The Crescent River Pilots’ Foundation. The foundation is run by a board of directors and funds many worth while charitable and civic causes in this region. Some of the charitable organizations receiving support from the foundation include: Legacy Foundation, Children’s Hospital, New Orleans Police Department’s Mounted Division, New Heights Therapeutic Riding and Jefferson Dollars for Scholars.
